Moscow region drone attack: 400 drones, 10 injured

Authorities are surveying the area after a massive drone attack on the Moscow region. At least 10 people were injured, including one child, in Podolsk, Domodedovo, and Odintsovo.

A massive drone attack occurred on the Moscow region overnight. The hardest-hit areas were Podolsk, Domodedovo, and Odintsovsky District, Governor Andrey Vorobyov said.

«As a result of drone falls, several private houses were damaged, fires broke out, and individual civil infrastructure objects were damaged,» Vorobyov wrote on his Telegram channel.

In Odintsovo, a drone damaged a car and a private home, with no casualties. In Podolsk, after drone falls, several objects and a private residential house in the village of Maloye Tolbino caught fire.

In Domodedovo, two people were injured: one was hurt in a fire at a private home, the second on the M-4 highway, where a drone fell near a car. Doctors are helping the victims.

Emergency Ministry, police, and ambulance crews are working at the scene. The consequences are being cleared, and the area continues to be surveyed.

During the night, more than 400 drones were heading toward Moscow. 85 drones were destroyed on approach to the capital. Victims were sent to the hospital, one of the wounded is in serious condition. More details about the attack can be read in the online report.

Updated at 09:50 MSK: According to updated information, as a result of the attack on the territory of the Moscow region, 10 people were injured, including one child, Vorobyov added.

In Domodedovo, seven people needed help. A 27-year-old man with a shrapnel wound to his shin refused hospitalization. Another six victims, including three Chinese citizens, were taken to Domodedovo Hospital: a 74-year-old man with multiple shrapnel wounds, a 53-year-old man with an open femur fracture, a 26-year-old man with a shin injury, and three other men with shrapnel wounds.

In Podolsk, two women were injured. A 66-year-old patient with facial abrasions and a hematoma was treated on the spot. The second woman, 38, refused hospitalization.

In Odintsovsky District, a girl was diagnosed with an acute stress reaction. She did not require hospitalization.
