Moped Accident in Ryazan, but Officials Remain Silent

On Kuibyshevskoye Shosse in Ryazan, a car driver and a moped rider failed to share the road. According to readers of YA62.RU, an ambulance arrived at the scene.

Currently, traffic police officers are working at the scene, although a large traffic jam is forming in both directions.

A correspondent from YA62.RU tried to get details from the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate (GIBDD) for the Ryazan Region, but the press service stated that reports about accidents are passed to them by the duty officers of the separate special traffic police battalion of the Ryazan GIBDD, and advised contacting that unit.

After calling the number provided by the press service, we were still unable to obtain any information.

«Ask all questions to the press service,» — a duty officer said dryly. When the correspondent asked where to call if the press service had recommended contacting the duty unit, the officer replied that all information is available on the Internet.

We double-checked all the phone numbers but found no other number.

«I have no information about the accident. And we are not the press service, we are the propaganda department. Traffic safety propaganda — that is a bit different. All information about a traffic accident when it happens in the city goes to their duty unit, and only then to us,» — they said on the other end of the line when we called the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate for the second time.
