Man steals expensive sneakers from pickup point in Yekaterinburg

The theft of expensive shoes occurred on January 20 at a pickup point on Krasnykh Komandirov Street in Yekaterinburg. The total value of the stolen sneakers and T-shirt was 18,000 rubles (about $200 at current rates).

As the pickup point (PVZ) employee told, the man asked for a box with new shoes and went to the fitting room. After that, he inquired if he could leave the purchase for temporary storage, received an affirmative answer, and quickly left the premises.
«When I checked the item, I found that the new sneakers had been replaced with old, worn-out boots. I didn»t have time to say anything,« the publication quotes the employee as saying.
Immediately after discovering the loss, the girl contacted the police. The suspect«s identity was recorded using surveillance cameras.
