In Ufa, a driver who got out of his car on Salavat Yulaev Avenue has died. Earlier, it was reported that the man survived but sustained injuries and was taken to a hospital. The details were provided by the Ufa State Traffic Safety Inspectorate (GIBDD) today, February 5.
The accident occurred in the evening on Salavat Yulaev Avenue.

According to inspectors, it all started with a minor accident that occurred on the avenue around 18:00. There, a 20-year-old driver of a Lada Largus sideswiped a Hyundai Santa Fe that was parked on the roadside.
At that moment, a BMW X3 was parked at the edge of the road. Its 42-year-old owner was getting into his car when the Largus crashed into him—according to footage, right into the door. The man suffered severe injuries and was taken to the hospital, but died shortly after.
Now the GIBDD has launched an investigation to understand how this happened.
As a reminder, in early December in Ufa, two pedestrians were fatally hit: one was crossing the road in an unauthorized place, and the other was run over by a truck.
