On Tuesday around noon, a conflict occurred near the Kazan Cathedral. A passerby, a pensioner from Orenburg, noticed an unknown person urinating into a trash bin located next to a cafeteria. He reprimanded him and continued on his way.
However, the man finished his business, caught up with the one who had scolded him, and attacked him with his fists. As a result, the elderly man was taken to Mariinsky Hospital with injuries.
The attacker was detained by a Rosgvardiya (National Guard) unit and handed over to the police department. It turned out that he already has several prior convictions. A new criminal case will likely be opened against him in the near future.
The victim received a gold GTO (Ready for Labor and Defense) badge of the 18th level in 2025 from the Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of Orenburg Region.
