M-7 Closed After Multi-Vehicle Crash Near Gorokhovets

The M-7 highway was partially closed on the approach to Nizhny Novgorod Oblast on the morning of February 5. According to eyewitnesses, an accident involving trucks and several cars occurred near Gorokhovets in Vladimir Oblast.

For a couple of hours, the section of the highway from Moskovskaya Street in Gorokhovets to the entrance sign to Vladimir Oblast was closed to traffic. Based on footage from the scene, two trucks and three cars collided, blocking almost the entire roadway.
A large traffic jam formed on the road toward Nizhny Novgorod. There is no official information about the incident yet.
Updated 10:44: Traffic on the highway has now resumed.
Earlier, we reported that a car carrying the deputy minister of the Nizhny Novgorod Oblast Ministry of Forestry (Minleskhoz) was involved in an accident on the Yoshkar-Ola – Nizhny Novgorod highway.
Earlier, in Borsky District, a scheduled bus overturned with passengers on board. The driver lost control and veered into a ditch. According to the man, a car cut him off on the stretch between the villages of Syrokhvatovo and Rekshino. Read more about the incident in a previous article.
