Krasnodar Krai drone attacks trigger Sochi sirens, Afipsky evacuation
Sirens sounded in Sochi as drones targeted Krasnodar Krai on the night of January 20-21.
On the night of January 20-21, Krasnodar Krai was attacked by drones. The drone threat was announced in the evening, and around 10:00 PM, sirens were activated in Sochi. According to local residents, at about the same time, they heard two loud sounds in the sky, similar to explosions, after which the alarm signal and voice announcements were turned on.
Sirens were heard across Sochi during the series of drone attacks in the region.

According to the governor of Krasnodar Krai, Veniamin Kondratyev, in Afipsky, debris from a drone fell near an apartment building, one of them being a warhead. Residents were evacuated, the area was cordoned off. A temporary accommodation point was set up in a sports school.
Around 01:10, the regional operational headquarters reported that drone debris fell on the territory of the Afipsky oil refinery. There are no casualties or damage. According to official data, a fire occurred, but it was quickly extinguished.
Separately, the head of the district, Maxim Bondarenko, reported on the drone threat in Primorsko-Akhtarsk. Two private houses were damaged there — windows were shattered. Sirens were activated in the city at night.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, from the evening of January 20 until the morning of January 21, 52 drones were shot down over Krasnodar Krai, another 30 over the Azov Sea, and 14 over the Black Sea.
Updated: according to the Kuban operational headquarters, at night in Afipsky, residents of four houses were evacuated. 46 people remain in temporary accommodation points. At 12:17, demining work on the warhead of the fallen drone continues.
