Heating points opened for two districts without heating in Karabash
Emergency crews have localized the site of the pipe break, which left two districts of Karabash without heating and hot water. Refilling the system with coolant is scheduled for noon.
The Karabashmed plant has joined the repair work. The press service of RMK (Russian Copper Company) assured:
«The company»s employees are ready to provide any necessary assistance. In the near future, plant workers will begin to thaw a local section of the network leading to the police station using burners.«
Significant resources have been deployed to eliminate the consequences: three repair crews, five pieces of special equipment, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM), and the RMK Poisk emergency rescue unit. They will install mobile inflatable modules on Karabash«s main square — full-fledged heating and food points equipped with heat guns and diesel generators.
Additionally, two stationary heating points organized at the second and fourth schools are operating for residents.
«The city hall is doing everything possible to restore the heat supply as soon as possible. The situation is under the special control of the city administration»s leadership,« the press service of the Karabash administration emphasized.
The heating and hot water outage began the day before. After a morning attempt to launch the repaired system, a new break occurred. As a result, more than 30 apartment buildings in two districts were left without heat.
