Girl Warned in Chat Before Attack on Krasnoyarsk School

In one of the schools in Krasnoyarsk, an emergency occurred: a schoolgirl carried out an arson attack and then attacked her classmates with a hammer. In this article, we have compiled everything known about the incident.

What happened

During an algebra lesson, one of the students burst into the school. She threw an object resembling a Molotov cocktail into the classroom — the room caught fire.

The attacker did not let the students leave the burning classroom: she threatened them with a hammer and hit those who tried to run out.

As a result, six people were injured: five students and one teacher. Two children sustained serious injuries and are now in the hospital in moderate condition. All victims are receiving medical care.

Due to the incident, classes at the school were temporarily suspended. The girl who carried out the attack was detained. Investigators are currently speaking with her — trying to find out why she did it and how everything happened.

What is known about the girl and her family

The schoolgirl«s parents claim they knew nothing about her plans. The father describes his daughter as a kind and friendly child.

According to information from the Telegram channel SHOT, the girl«s family is described as close-knit and well-off. The parents have been married for more than 25 years and work at a chemical production facility. The family has a stable income and can afford to travel.

According to available data, warm and trusting relationships have developed in the family. The schoolgirl often discussed her difficulties and experiences with her mother. The parents are genuinely surprised by suggestions of possible conflicts between their daughter and her peers and do not believe that she could have had serious problems at school.

The attacker«s older sister paints a different picture. According to her, her younger sister faced bullying at school: classmates mocked her appearance and style of clothing. Because of this, the girl often came home in tears and felt lonely.

Other students say the girl was not bullied at school.

“No, she was just quiet, no one bullied her, no one did anything,” one of the students told NGS24.RU.

According to him, the girl had no friends, did not communicate with anyone, and attended the second shift.

Over the past two months, the schoolgirl has noticeably distanced herself from her parents. At the same time, as all family members — the older sister, mother, and father — claim, none of them suspected the impending attack on the school and classmates.

However, there were still precursors. As it turned out, the girl reported the impending crime in advance — in the school chat.

In the correspondence, the student not only announced the arson but also conducted a poll about which teacher to attack. However, her messages went unnoticed: neither classmates nor school staff took the threats seriously and took no action.

What is known about the school

School No. 153 had already received a warning. This was reported by the Interregional Center for Children«s Rights.

“The Krai Ministry of Education had already issued a warning to the school management, ‘Pokrovsky Complex,’ for ignoring bullying — after a video showed a second-grader beating a peer while a teacher calmly watched from the sidelines,” the center clarified.

This refers to a case that occurred in December. The student had been systematically bullied for a year, which provoked aggressive behavior in the boy. As a result, a complaint was filed with the Interregional Center for Children«s Rights, but specialists determined that he was not the aggressor but the victim. At the same time, the behavior of the bullies was ignored by school staff. As a result, the Ministry of Education issued a warning to the educational institution.

Recall that this is the second attack on a school in the Krasnoyarsk Krai this week.

On 3 February, a 14-year-old student brought a kitchen knife to Kodinsk School No. 4 and tried to stab a chemistry teacher, but her classmates stopped her. The girl then wounded a student from a parallel class. According to official information, the attacker was raised in a complete, large family and was not on any watchlists. Criminal cases have been opened for attempted murder and negligence. The head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, has also taken an interest in the story.

Students also told NGS24.RU that the security guard refused to help the children when they ran to her for assistance.

In comments on news about the events in Kodinsk, residents of the Krasnoyarsk Krai defended the attacker and suggested that she had been bullied.

It is also known that the mother refused to take her daughter home. She explained the refusal by having other children at home.

On the same day, 3 February, another attack on a school occurred in Ufa.

A student at Gymnasium No. 16 came to class with a weapon — he used it against his own teacher, with whom he had a score to settle. The student managed to fire, but fortunately, the teacher did not suffer serious injuries. Soon, not only law enforcement officers but also parents of students, who knew almost nothing about the fate of the children who had barricaded themselves inside, arrived at the scene.
