Today in Volzhsky, the satellite city of Volgograd, a traffic accident occurred in which a 15-year-old girl was injured. The accident happened on Karl Marx Street, near Gidrostroitel Park. The child is in serious condition, and doctors are fighting for her life.
The information about the incident was disseminated in anonymous Telegram channels of Volzhsky. The message said: «A girl was hit by a car on Karl Marx Street. The details of the incident and the identity of the driver are being established.»
According to eyewitnesses, the accident occurred around 10 a.m. Police officers were working at the scene, and a car with a shattered windshield was present.
The Volgograd Region Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia clarified: the driver of a Lada Granta hit a girl who was crossing the road at a controlled pedestrian crossing.
The Volgograd Regional Health Department reported that the victim was taken to the intensive care unit of Hospital No. 7. Her condition is assessed as serious.
The day before in Volzhsky, two cars collided near the Malina shopping center. The impact was so strong that one of the cars was thrown about ten meters. Two people were injured, but they did not require hospitalization.
