Gasoline Spilled on Highway Near Yaroslavl After Accident

Two trucks collided on a highway in the Yaroslavl District, causing a fuel spill.

An accident with a fuel spill occurred in the Yaroslavl District on the morning of January 21. On the Yaroslavl – Zayachiy Kholm – Ivanovo highway, near the village of Alekseyevskoye, two trucks collided.

Emergency and rescue services are working at the scene of the accident.

As reported by the regional State Traffic Inspectorate (GAI), «on a section of the Yaroslavl – Zayachiy Kholm – Ivanovo highway, near the village of Alekseyevskoye, a collision of two cargo vehicles occurred with subsequent spillage of gasoline onto the roadway. Currently, traffic on this section of the road in the direction of Yaroslavl is blocked.»
The agency recommended that drivers from Yaroslavl seek alternative routes while restrictions are in place on the highway.
This is not the only serious accident that occurred in the region that day. Earlier in the morning, on Polushkina Roshcha Street in Yaroslavl, a truck collided with a passenger car, completely blocking the passage. The incident led to a large traffic jam, and bus route No. 57 was temporarily changed. Traffic on Polushkina Roshcha was restored by 12:00 noon.
