Gasoline Derailment Delays Train to St. Petersburg
On Wednesday at 15:34, freight cars carrying gasoline derailed at Kochetovka-2 station in the Tambov Region. This caused a major fire and led to delays for passenger trains.
An operational headquarters has been set up to deal with the aftermath. Fire and recovery trains have been dispatched to the scene. Railway workers are taking measures to restore traffic as soon as possible.
Due to the accident, the following passenger trains are delayed:

- No. 739 Voronezh – Moscow
- No. 27 Simferopol – Moscow
- No. 37 Imeretinsky Resort – Nizhny Novgorod
- No. 101 Adler – Moscow
- No. 139 Kislovodsk – Arkhangelsk
- No. 266 Moscow – Novorossiysk
- No. 739 Voronezh – Moscow
Currently, the issue of rerouting trains via an alternative route bypassing the accident site is being resolved. Train crew members are providing necessary assistance to passengers.
A criminal case has been opened regarding the derailment under the article on violation of traffic safety and railway transport operation rules resulting in major damage.
The presence of casualties and the amount of damage are being determined.
