Eleven cars of a freight train carrying coal derailed on the Khilok–Gyrshelun section of the Zabaykalskaya Railway (ZabZhD) in the early hours of February 5, according to the ZabZhD Telegram channel.
Emergency crews and recovery trains were dispatched to the derailment site.

The incident occurred at 4:48 a.m. No injuries were reported, and the adjacent track remained clear. Passenger train services were unaffected.
Recovery trains have been dispatched to the site. A task force has been established at ZabZhD to manage the cleanup. The cause of the derailment is under investigation.
