Flight Delays at Sochi Airport Reach 3.5 Hours

At Sochi Airport, after morning restrictions on takeoffs and landings due to the threat of a drone attack, dozens of flights are delayed. The flight ban was imposed at 8:30 and lifted at 10:35.

During the attack, a seven-year-old girl was injured; drone debris fell on the grounds of a church.

According to the airport«s online board, 32 departing flights and 19 arriving flights are delayed.

Flight S5-546 to St. Petersburg — 3 hours 20 minutes;

Flight DP-337 to Kazan — 3 hours 20 minutes;

Flight SU-1141 to Moscow (Sheremetyevo) — 3 hours;

Flight EO-435 to Orsk — 2 hours 30 minutes;

Flight DP-331 to Samara — 2 hours 25 minutes;

Flight DP-116 to Moscow (Vnukovo) — 2 hours 10 minutes;

Flights FV-6629 to Chelyabinsk, DP-114 to Moscow (Vnukovo) and FV-6201 to Kazan — up to 2 hours.

Among arriving flights, the longest delays are for:

Flight DP-358 from Cheboksary — 3 hours 30 minutes;

Flight 5N-545 from St. Petersburg — 3 hours 10 minutes;

Flight U6-3506 from Antalya — 3 hours;

Flight DP-113 from Moscow (Vnukovo) — 2 hours 45 minutes;

Flight SU-1042 from Moscow has been canceled.
