Drone Debris Hits Sochi Church, Injures Girl

In Sochi, drone debris fell on the grounds of a church in the city«s central district, injuring a child. This was reported by the operational headquarters of Krasnodar Krai.

“The girl was hospitalized for necessary medical care. There is no threat to her life,” the operational headquarters said.

Emergency and special services are working at the scene. Information about the extent of damage and other possible casualties has not yet been received.

In Krymsky District, a drone attack threat was declared, the municipal administration reported. In Anapa, the warning siren was also activated due to the threat, the administration added. Similar measures were taken in Novorossiysk.

In the morning, restrictions on aircraft arrivals and departures were introduced in Sochi. This is necessary to ensure flight safety, the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) clarified. Airlines will inform passengers of all changes. Similar measures were taken at the airports of Krasnodar and Gelendzhik. In these cities, the airports have already resumed normal operations. Restrictions were also imposed earlier.
