Drone Attack on Rostov Region: One Injured

On the night of 5 February, the Rostov Region came under a massive attack using unmanned aerial vehicles. This was reported by regional governor Yuri Slyusar on his Telegram channel.
According to the regional head, air defense forces repelled the attack, destroying and intercepting over 30 drones. Incidents occurred in 12 cities and districts, including:
- Rostov-on-Don, Taganrog, Bataysk, Novoshakhtinsk, Shakhty, and Kamensk-Shakhtinsky;
- as well as the districts: Azovsky, Neklinovsky, Oktyabrsky, Kamensky, Krasnosulinsky, and Zernogradsky.
«Information about the consequences is being clarified,» wrote Slyusar.
It is known that one person was injured in the attack. A truck driver sustained moderate injuries when debris from a downed drone fell on his vehicle. There is no threat to the man«s life.
Material damage was also recorded. In Bataysk, on the parking lot of an agricultural enterprise, five cars and a warehouse building were damaged. In Novoshakhtinsk, a private home had its facade and window panes damaged.
Russia«s Ministry of Defence (MoD) provided overall statistics for the night»s events. On 5 February, 95 fixed-wing drones were destroyed and intercepted over six regions of the country. Over the Rostov Region, 27 such devices were neutralized. The main target of the attack, it appears, was Krasnodar Krai, where 36 drones were directed.
