Driver fails to yield, two hospitalized in Volzhsky

In Volzhsky, a satellite city of Volgograd, a serious traffic accident occurred on the evening of July 20. At the intersection of Lenin Avenue and Bolshevikskaya Street, near the Malina shopping center, two passenger cars collided. The impact threw one car about ten meters, spun the other around on the spot, after which bystanders ran to the scene.

The moment of the collision was captured by outdoor surveillance cameras. The footage shows a white car turning from the avenue and failing to yield to an oncoming vehicle traveling at high speed. A powerful collision occurs, after which both vehicles come to a stop.

The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Volgograd Oblast (GU MVD) reported that two people were injured in the accident. Other details were promised to be provided later. Information about the condition of the injured is being clarified with the regional health committee.

Earlier in Volzhsky, local residents noticed a car covered with drops of blood. Initially, it was thought that it might have been involved in a traffic accident, but it turned out the cause was a conflict between neighbors. During the quarrel, a taxi driver was beaten and his car was damaged.
