Defense Ministry reports dozens of drones down overnight in Russia

Russian air defenses intercepted 75 Ukrainian drones overnight, with local authorities in Voronezh reporting no casualties from one downed aircraft.

The Russian Defense Ministry announced the interception of 75 Ukrainian aircraft-type drones over several regions.

75 Ukrainian aircraft-type drones were intercepted and destroyed over Russia from 11:00 PM on January 20 to 7:00 AM on January 21, according to the Defense Ministry«s morning report. The most drones were shot down in Krasnodar Krai — 45, nine more over Oryol Oblast, seven over the Black Sea, three each over Rostov Oblast and Crimea, two drones were eliminated over Astrakhan Oblast, one over the Sea of Azov.

Over Voronezh Oblast, according to the defense department, one Ukrainian drone was also destroyed during this time. As previously reported by Voronezh1.ru, the threat of attacks in the region was introduced the day before at 9:04 PM. Shortly after that, a missile threat was announced in Voronezh Oblast — sirens sounded. At the time of this publication, the operational situation is already calm: the all-clear for attack threats was announced on January 21 at 7:44 AM. As Governor Alexander Gusev said, the drone was destroyed at night in the sky over one of the region«s districts. There are no casualties or damage, preliminarily.
