Deception and Molotov Cocktails: Kantemirovskaya Arson

According to available information, a young woman named Yelizaveta threw two incendiary devices into a room where aid for those in need was stored. The incident occurred on February 4.

According to operational data, an unknown individual had been in contact with the girl for some time, posing as a representative of an anonymous Telegram channel linked to a «secret agency» of the Ministry of Defense. The perpetrator promised her help in paying off credit debts in exchange for participating in a «special operation.» Under the pretext of completing the task, she was led to the building on Kantemirovskaya. In the box she was carrying was a dove — supposedly meant to symbolize the absence of explosives.

As a result of the fire over an area of about 120 square meters, collected humanitarian cargo, medical supplies, and uniforms were completely destroyed. This was reported by Vladimir Bakin, deputy director of the Dobrovolets (Volunteer) fund.

At the time of the attack, staff and volunteers were present at the collection point and managed to evacuate safely. They also detained the suspect before law enforcement arrived. According to Bakin, the girl was at that moment filming the events on her mobile phone and talking to someone.
