Criminal case filed after dog attack on child in Trans-Urals

In the Trans-Urals, a criminal negligence case was opened after a pack of dogs attacked a child in the village of Sadovoe. This was reported to a 45.RU correspondent by the press service of the Investigative Committee for the Kurgan Region.

«An investigative-operational group consisting of an investigator and a forensic investigator from the regional investigative department went to the scene. Regarding the dog attack on the child, the Ketovsky inter-district investigative department has opened a criminal negligence case,» the department promptly responded.
Four dogs attacked a child in the village of Sadovoe the day before, on January 20. The district administration noted that the child was hospitalized in the Red Cross hospital. The girl«s mother wrote on social media that the dogs tore the child»s leg.
It is known that the girl is seven years old. According to the Investigative Committee for the Kurgan Region, the child suffered a leg injury and was hospitalized in the regional children«s hospital to receive necessary medical assistance.
The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Kurgan Region told a 45.RU correspondent that the police are currently determining who the dogs belong to.
The Prosecutor«s Office of Zauralye added that the regional prosecutor Vladislav Moskovskikh ordered an investigation into the dog attack on the child. The supervisory body will assess the actions (or inaction) of officials responsible for capturing stray animals in settlements.
