Bus Collides with Car in Yaroslavl, Driver Hospitalized
A bus and a car were involved in a collision on Moscow Avenue in Yaroslavl.
A road traffic accident involving a bus and a Ford Focus car occurred at 06:34 near house No. 165 on Moscow Avenue.
The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs office for the Yaroslavl Region reported:
«A Ford Focus and a bus collided. According to available information, a man – the bus driver – was taken to the hospital.»
Eyewitness Dmitry Grachyov described the situation on social media:
«The foreign car was pulling out from the right, and the bus was coming from the Shchedrino side; they collided almost head-on at an angle.»
Earlier, on January 18, a serious accident involving two buses occurred in Yaroslavl on Aviator Avenue in the Zavolzhsky District. In that incident, five passengers were injured, and one woman was hospitalized. Head of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin ordered a criminal case to be initiated, and the Yaroslavl Investigative Committee is conducting an inspection.
