Body of Missing Daniil Kuznetsov Found in Abandoned House
The body of Daniil Kuznetsov, missing since August 2025, was discovered on 17 July in an abandoned house near Tokarevo village in Altai Krai. Authorities are investigating the cause of death.

On 20 July, it became known that the body of Daniil Kuznetsov, who disappeared nearly a year ago, was found in Altai Krai. NGS22.RU was told where it was discovered and what might have happened by the Investigative Committee of Russia for Altai Krai.
The body of the deceased Daniil Kuznetsov was found late in the evening of 17 July in one of the abandoned houses of a gardening association near the village of Tokarevo. Recall that it was there, on the highway near this village, in August 2025, due to a conflict, the driver with whom they were traveling home to Berezovka after work dropped him off from the car. He had dropped his phone in the car at that time. On the eve of his disappearance, Daniil called his mother and said he would return home the next day, after which he no longer made contact.
The body was discovered by a man living nearby. According to preliminary data, no signs of violent death were found. However, it is still difficult to determine the exact cause of death since the body lay there for almost a year. Investigators will be able to make final conclusions after conducting necessary forensic examinations. At present, the investigation of a criminal case on murder charges continues.
On 20 July, Daniil«s relatives went through the identification procedure and confirmed that it was his body. As previously reported by NGS22.RU, the sister of the deceased said that the funeral is scheduled for 24 July, and the farewell will take place in Novoaltaysk.
Recall that hundreds of people participated in the search for the young man. The only clue was a recording from a dashcam. The young man was captured by the camera of a fuel truck on the highway near the SNT «Yantarnoye» (gardening non-profit partnership).
«He left home on either 20 or 21 August. At the same time, he called his mother to warn that he was staying in the city because he had been working long. He said he would come tomorrow. The next day, the situation repeated. Then, on the evening of 22 August, he called his parents again and said that tomorrow he would definitely come in the morning or afternoon. But on 23 August, he was no longer answering calls. Then on 24 August, she started calling his friends and colleagues she knew. And on the 25th, Monday, we filed a report with the police,» a relative of the young man previously told NGS22.RU.
Relatives claimed that the young man was not confrontational, had never left home without warning before, and did not cause his family to worry.
