On the evening of 4 February, an asphalt collapse at the intersection of Permyakova and Shirotnaya streets in Tyumen partially restricted traffic. Traffic police officers are working at the scene.

Earlier, similar incidents occurred in the city. On Profsoyuznaya Street, an asphalt collapse at the intersection with 50 Let Oktyabrya Street caused a traffic jam over a kilometer long. Another collapse happened on 1 April on the same stretch but at the intersection with Sovetskaya Street, after which several traffic lanes were temporarily closed.
According to the city administration, the cause of the previous incidents was the destruction of a reinforced concrete collector due to corrosion after many years of operation. Specialists from Tyumen Vodokanal (water utility) were called in to address the problem.
