Another earthquake strikes Altai Republic

On the morning of 21 July, a seismic event of magnitude 2.9 was recorded in the Altai Republic, according to the local branch of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM).
The earthquake occurred at 11:08, 29 kilometers northeast of the village of Ongudai. The 50-kilometer zone included nine settlements in the Ongudai, Shebalino, and Chemal districts, including Ongudai, Bichiktu-Bom, Bolshoy and Maly Yaloman, Kurota, Boochie, Verkh-Apshuyakhta, Yelanda, and Edigan.

According to EMERCOM, residents did not feel the tremors. There were no fatalities or injuries, and no calls to the emergency number 112 were received.
Recall that earlier, on 18 July, an earthquake of magnitude 5.3 occurred near the town of Yarovoye. Tremors were recorded at 04:00 in the morning.
