Head of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin has ordered the initiation of a criminal case based on information about a ceiling collapse in a Saratov school. This was reported today by the information center of the Russian Investigative Committee.

Recall that on January 20, in the Kirovsky District, at secondary school No. 71 in one of the classrooms the ceiling collapsed. There were no victims as a result of the incident. The regional Investigative Committee began an investigation into the circumstances. Moreover, the regional prosecutor«s office has taken an interest in it.

The head of the Saratov regional Investigative Committee, Dmitry Kostin, is to oversee the investigation and initiation of the criminal case, and report to Bastrykin on the progress and results of the investigation. The execution of the order has been put under control in the central apparatus of the department.

Recall that similar cases occurred at school No. 67 named after Oleg Yankovsky in 2025 and 2024. The last time, the roof collapsed in the corridor, but again no one was hurt.
