A fatal accident occurred this morning on the Barnaul–Rubtsovsk–Kazakhstan border highway, the regional Gosavtoinspektsiya (State Traffic Inspectorate, STI) reported.
Preliminary findings established that a 44-year-old driver in a Mazda CX-5, traveling towards Rubtsovsk, struck a 26-year-old woman. She was crossing the road in an unauthorized place.
As a result, she died at the scene before the arrival of an ambulance. Recall, on February 2, a woman was fatally struck on the Chuysky Tract highway while crossing at an uncontrolled pedestrian crossing.
