The Russian Ministry of Defense reported another massive attack by Ukrainian drones: overnight on 21 July, air defense destroyed hundreds of aircraft-type drones over 11 regions. The UAVs were eliminated over the territories of Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Rostov, Ryazan regions, the Moscow region, Krasnodar and Stavropol territories, Crimea, and over the waters of the Azov and Black Seas.

In Voronezh, due to the threat of a drone attack, an air raid alert was declared overnight; in the morning, Governor Alexander Gusev spoke about the attack on the city.

In the Rostov region, drone debris fell in a forest, starting a fire. In addition to drones, missiles were also shot down there.

In total, overnight on 21 July, air defense neutralized 209 aircraft-type drones over Russia. However, at least one more unfortunately reached its target. In Vladimir — which is not in the defense ministry«s summary — a drone flew into an apartment in a residential high-rise building. In Lipetsk, for as-yet-unnamed reason, an open area in an industrial zone caught fire — the fire spread over thousands of square meters. Before that, a missile danger was declared twice in the region. Read more about the night attacks in our article.
