18-Year-Old Mother Strangles Infant Son in Uzhur

In Uzhur, an 18-year-old mother strangled her son while trying to calm him. A criminal case has been opened under the article «Murder,» according to a statement from the regional Investigative Committee on August 7 on the agency«s channel in Max.
According to the Investigative Committee, on August 5 the girl was left alone with the baby because the parents she lived with had gone to work. The child began to cry and, to calm him, the suspect squeezed the boy«s neck and head with her hands, causing his death.
She explained her action to investigators as follows:
«I got up, also grabbed him by the neck and head with my hand to give him a pacifier. I misjudged my strength and grabbed his neck too hard,» she says.
A source told NGS24.RU that the girl lived alone with the child and her parents. The child«s father did not participate in raising him. She had no other children, and she was also an only child in her parents» family. Judging by operational footage, the baby did not even have a crib; he slept in a stroller.
The suspect was detained and is accused of murdering a minor. The girl admitted her guilt, and investigators plan to petition the court to place her in custody. Additionally, the girl will be sent for a forensic psychiatric examination and other tests.
Earlier, NGS24.RU reported an even more horrific case. On June 27, Yekaterina, a resident of Achinsk, left a private house on the outskirts of the city with her daughter in an unknown direction. She was later spotted in several Siberian cities, including Krasnoyarsk, but alone. The body of her five-year-old daughter was found more than a week later near a railway embankment in Achinsk.
When the mother was detained in Novosibirsk, she confessed that she had strangled the girl out of personal animosity, including toward her husband.
Earlier, neighbors had not noticed conflicts in the family, only the strange behavior of the woman herself — she had mental disorders. NGS24.RU went to the scene of the tragedy and tried to reconstruct the picture of the family in which it all happened.
