On Tuesday, February 3, part of the town of Kasli was left without heating due to a pipeline failure. This was reported by the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services of Chelyabinsk Oblast. They promise to restore heat to homes by evening.

Authorities report that indoor temperatures have remained within safe levels despite the outage.

According to the Kasli administration, the pipeline failure occurred in the northern part of the town, and repairs began at 7 a.m. The outage affected 39 apartment buildings housing about 5,000 people, 25 private houses, and seven social facilities.

“Heating is partially maintained in the apartment buildings. On site, teams from the contractor organization are working: 27 specialists and two pieces of equipment. Repair and restoration work is underway. The estimated completion time is 5:00 p.m.,” reported the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services. “We ask residents to remain calm.”

The Kasli City Prosecutor«s Office is monitoring the emergency repairs, according to the department»s press service.

The South Ural Ministry of Housing and Communal Services reported that emergency repairs have been completed, and the situation will be monitored until full heating supply is restored.

Recall that on January 20, part of Karabash was left without heating; fixing the utility failure took several days, and due to abnormal cold, many houses were severely frozen.
