Utility Tariffs to Rise Twice in Yekaterinburg in 2026

In 2026, Yekaterinburg residents will face two utility tariff increases. The first price hike will be noticeable when February bills arrive, and the second will occur in autumn, after the unified voting day.

We decided to calculate how the bill amount will change in February and October 2026 using the example of a two-bedroom apartment. See what we found.

What bills to expect in February

From January 1 to September 30, utilities will become 1.7% more expensive. In fact, such a price increase will not greatly affect the final amount on the bill, but there is a catch: in some cases, February bills will include part of the December amount. This is done for convenience in year-end calculations.
It is not necessary that the amount changes exactly by the set percentage. Everything depends on specific tariffs from different providers and the decision of the Regional Energy Commission, as previously explained by E1.RU in the press service of the Unified Settlement Center.
For the calculation, we took a bill from a Yekaterinburg woman for November 2025. The woman lives in a two-bedroom apartment in the Akademichesky district. For that month, she paid 6,037.08 rubles (about $60 at current rates), but half of this amount is the fee for building maintenance and common property (namely — 3,003.9 rubles, about $30). We are not including these services in our calculation.
Specifically for utilities, the Yekaterinburg woman paid 3,033.18 rubles (about $30). Let«s see how this amount changes with the tariff increases.
In this specific case, the heating fee will increase by 24 rubles (less than $1), cold water supply — by only 3.48 rubles (less than $1). Hot water supply will become more expensive by 2.52 rubles (less than $1), and heating — by 5.52 rubles (less than $1). Water disposal will also slightly rise in price — by 3.95 rubles (less than $1). Electricity costs (T1 and T2) will increase by 6.57 and 2.58 rubles (both less than $1), respectively. The amount in the «Waste Management» line will also become a bit higher — our reader will pay 2.76 rubles (less than $1) more than usual.
In total, the Yekaterinburg woman will pay 51.53 rubles (about $1) more for utilities than last year. Tolerable!
What bills to expect in autumn
The second price increase awaits Yekaterinburg residents on October 1, 2026. Usually, tariffs are raised every six months, but now this date has been moved from summer to several months later. Most likely, this decision was made due to the upcoming State Duma elections — they will take place in September.
So, from October 1 to December 31, we will pay 12.9% more for utilities than now. How the amount on the bill will change, we considered using the example of the same bill, taking into account the first tariff increase.
The most expensive line on the bill — heating, the fee for it for the E1.RU reader will increase by 186.38 rubles (about $2). Cold water will become more expensive by 26.83 rubles (less than $1), hot water supply — by 19.42 rubles (less than $1), and heating — by 42.57 rubles (less than $1). Even water disposal will cost more by 30.45 rubles (less than $1). Electricity will also noticeably become more expensive. For T1, the woman will pay 50.68 rubles (about $1) more, for T2 — 19.9 rubles (less than $1) more. The waste fee will increase by 16.1 rubles (less than $1).
As a result, the amount on the bill will increase by 391.67 rubles (about $4).
Separately, we explained how from January 1, tariffs for electricity, gas, cold water, heating and capital repairs changed, and also explained why utility bills in other cities of Sverdlovsk Oblast are much lower.
