"Several Cars Frozen in Ice": Courtyard of Omsk Apartment Building Flooded for Third Day

Residents of Omskaya Street complained that cold water has been flowing near building No. 136/2 since the evening of 1 February. During this time, it flooded the parking lot, causing several cars to freeze into the ice. The flooding prevents access to the trash area and neighboring streets, and the icy road surface impedes traffic.
«The entire parking lot and trash area on the side of 17 Liniya Street have turned into an ice rink. Several cars are frozen into the ice. One car remains trapped in the ice. A single mother with two children has lost her means of transportation. Requests have been repeatedly submitted to OmskVodokanal. An emergency crew visited the address but could not find the cause of the flooding or the leak location. At this point, the puddle is already reaching the neighboring building at 17 Liniya, 48,» eyewitnesses told the Emergency Omsk community on VK.
In the comments on the post, a representative from the city water utility appeared. The company reported that a request was indeed received by the dispatch service at 21:05 on 1 February. However, due to heavy workload, they were unable to promptly fix the utility burst. They plan to repair the pipe in the problematic section tomorrow, 5 February.
«Today, repair work is being coordinated with utility services. The consequences of the accident will be eliminated. We will return with an update on the repair progress on 9 February. We apologize for the inconvenience,» the water utility added.
