Heat main accident cuts heating in Kurgan's Severny district

In Kurgan, heat supply to residential buildings in the Severny district has been temporarily suspended to eliminate a leak on the «Sever-2» main, according to the press service of the «Kurgan Generation Company».

«The temporary shutdown of the heat carrier supply is forced and will allow for precise identification of the defect. At the moment, repair teams have begun inspecting the section and pumping out the heat carrier. Ten units of special equipment and 30 personnel have been involved in the restoration work,» commented Alexander Pribylev, general director of the «Kurgan Generation Company».

Heat supply to houses in the central part of the city continues via the «Yug» main. The company warns that a decrease in the heating system temperature is possible, which is related to the redistribution of thermal loads in the unified system. Specialists are making necessary equipment adjustments.

Restoration work on the «Sever-2» main is proceeding around the clock until the leak is fully localized.
