Accident in Kasli leaves thousands without heating

On February 3, in the city of Kasli, Chelyabinsk Region, an accident occurred on a pipeline, leaving part of the settlement without heating. The regional Ministry of Housing and Communal Services stated that heat is planned to be restored to homes by the end of the day.
According to the local administration, the incident occurred around seven in the morning in the northern part of Kasli. Heating has been turned off in 39 apartment buildings, where about 5,000 people live, 25 private houses, and seven social facilities.
In apartment buildings, the heat carrier is preserved. On site, crews from the contracting organization are working: 27 specialists and two units of equipment. Repair and restoration work is underway. The estimated completion time is 17:00, — the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services reported. — We ask residents to remain calm.

Recall that on January 20, part of the city of Karabash was left without heating, where it took several days to eliminate the utility accident. Due to abnormally low temperatures, many houses in that settlement froze seriously.
