The Ministry of Health of the Voronezh Region reported on the results of the emergency medical service (EMS) work in 2025. In total, over the year, ambulances responded to 260 thousand calls from residents of the region — almost four thousand more than in 2024. That is, daily, Voronezh residents dialed number 03 712 times. At the same time, the ministry notes that the average daily workload on medics decreased from 15.3 to 15 calls. This is explained by the increase in doctors — by 10 people, drivers — by 24, and paramedics by 46. As a result, the number of duty teams was increased from 55–57 to 60–63.
Moreover, ministers reported that in Voronezh, at the Northern substation, an additional anesthesia and resuscitation crew was equipped — now there are four, and in the coming year, they plan to add more. However, according to officials« calculations, city residents wait less for the ambulance to arrive. This is explained by the fact that due to the increase in driver staff, ambulances in Voronezh are now dispatched from five points. As a result, the time when teams relieve each other has been reduced to 30 minutes — as now specialists do not wait for a new vehicle during shift changes.
By the way, the Ministry of Health boasted that residents of the region complained less about the work of EMS in 2025. And what are your impressions from your experience of calling an ambulance, and what, in your opinion, can be improved? Tell us in the comments — and stay healthy.
