Voronezh Patients Share Dental Clinic Experiences

Voronezh1.ru has sent inquiries to Roszdravnadzor (the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare) and the Ministry of Health. While we await their responses, we decided to find out what Voronezh residents themselves think — do our clinics actually treat teeth or just talk the talk? We collected real patient reviews from Yandex. We started with private dental clinics, since that«s what the analysis focused on. We randomly picked the first five. «MigLayn» (rating 4.7)

A private clinic with a high rating, where patients note convenient hours and good service. However, there are also complaints — some patients accuse it of incompetence and rude management.

«I went there with excruciating pain, and they didn«t help. The doctor put a filling on an inflamed tooth that had pus! It could have spread to my head at any moment. I had to go somewhere else, where they treated me for a whole week! But these guys didn»t say a word, took my money and were happy. When I spoke to the head doctor about it, I was shocked by the rude and disrespectful attitude! They didn«t even apologize! Money comes first, not patients!» (11 months ago).

One of the leaders in rating. But there are also complaints about consultant managers and long waits for the doctor.

«I came for a free consultation with a whole range of problems. The doctor explained every tooth in detail and called a surgeon to consult on a complex wisdom tooth extraction. The clinic is beautiful, the staff is friendly. They took 2D and 3D X-rays for free. There«s a good discount on comprehensive treatment. Another big plus is that there was no waiting or queues.» (4 months ago).

«I«ve been getting treated at this clinic since 2023. I had prosthetics on my upper and lower jaw. Everything holds up well, teeth feel like my own. Excellent materials. Now I go for free check-ups. The staff is always friendly. They always give oral hygiene tips. They take control X-rays at every check-up. The clinic is modern. It»s a pleasure to come here.» (3 months ago).

«A disgusting place. I attended a free consultation, which they say lasts 1.5–2 hours, but I only lasted about 15 minutes. The consultation is conducted not by a doctor but by a «consultant» who asks rude and inappropriate questions unrelated to the matter. After a few such questions, I asked to see a doctor. I was told he was busy and that «I agreed to a two-hour consultation, so we»ll sit and chat.« In short, this consultant is just a salesperson whose job is to psychologically pressure you into taking out a loan for their services — as I understood after reading other reviews.» (3 months ago).

We had to wait a very long time for a doctor. We paid 22,800 rubles (approximately $253 at current exchange rates) for three extractions. After we had an additional CT scan at the dental clinic on Voroshilova (state clinic. — Ed.), the doctor who will be doing the prosthetics noticed leftover root fragments after the extraction at your clinic. «I«ve been getting treatment here for several years. I»ve had multiple cavities filled, ordered mouthguards for bruxism, and got a crown on a tooth. The doctors are always pleasant and polite, ready to advise and not prescribe unnecessary treatment. They are accommodating. I needed to treat a cyst within a week before leaving town for several months. Everything was done in a week, quickly and professionally.» (A month ago).

«I«ve been getting treated at this clinic for many years. I»ve probably had everything done: from professional hygiene and whitening to implants. The doctors are excellent, always working quality and painlessly.» (A month ago).

«We treated our child«s permanent teeth; everything looked great. But a year later we went to another clinic, had a CT scan, and it turned out there was decay under the fillings. In the end, all the teeth that got fillings had to be retreated. How can that be?» (2 years ago).

Patients often praise the clinic for professionalism, noting no pain or queues. However, there are also angry reviews.

«We looked for a good clinic for a wisdom tooth extraction before getting braces. As it turned out, we didn«t regret choosing this clinic. The doctor removed the tooth very well and without pain; he»s a professional. The clinic is clean and there are no annoying queues.» (A year ago).

«Very pleasant and friendly staff. I got braces. Everything went great. You can see the doctors are professionals.» (A year ago).

«I went to the branch on 20-letiya Oktyabrya. Acute pain with swelling. The doctor thinks patients have come down from the mountains and can be fed fairy tales, for example, about the miraculous properties of a salt and soda solution! He accused me of the bump with pus reappearing after his treatment, even though I followed all his instructions! What«s more, he put in a dark temporary filling! He answered my questions as if I were a limited person who can»t understand the nonsense he was talking! In the end, he made a hole in my tooth and sent me home. The pain is terrible! The bump is growing! It«s absolutely impossible to eat! And I paid for this!» (4 years ago).

Dental Center «Dentika» (rating 4.7)

One of the leaders in pediatric dentistry. At the same time, the clinic receives criticism for disorganization, high prices, and quality of treatment.

«We were looking for a clinic that wouldn«t scare a child but would treat them wisely. We found it! The clinic treated our 6-year-old child»s teeth. We really liked the approach: the doctor communicated as an equal, showed and explained everything. The treatment was calm, no tears. The clinic is clean, bright, and has entertainment for children.» (A month ago).

«The most disgusting of all dental clinics in the city. They position themselves (judging by the prices and interior) as premium.
