Doctors have detected early-stage tuberculosis in one of the students at Vladivostok Basic Medical College. The disease was discovered during an annual examination, according to the regional health ministry«s press service, as reported by VLADIVOSTOK1.RU.

The student with tuberculosis has been sent for treatment, and people who had contact with him and have not undergone fluorography in the last six months have been directed for additional medical examination.

Also, on January 27, students and teachers of the college were transferred to distance learning. On that day, specialists conducted disinfection in the building, but already tomorrow, January 28, students and teachers will be able to return to in-person format.

Update: The prosecutor«s office has organized an inspection into the identified case of tuberculosis.

On October 21, 2025, we reported that a teacher at School No. 82 in Vladivostok, located on Snegovaya Street, was diagnosed with tuberculosis while on sick leave. The city hall noted that there is no threat of the disease spreading among students and staff. Sanitary treatment was carried out in the school premises.
