Well-known Novosibirsk trombonist Yevgeny Firsov lost his leg after he skied down a slope 13 years ago. The man had to undergo two surgeries, one of which was an amputation.

«The surgeon said: »Amputation is not the main problem now. We have another problem: you have sepsis. Yes, blood poisoning. I won«t hide it: mortality is 90%. If you don»t help us, we won«t manage. We will do everything that can be done, everything that is possible, everything that depends on us. But if you don»t help us, we won«t manage,»« recalled Yevgeny Firsov.

The man had to relearn how to walk, get used to a prosthesis, and live with phantom pains. He found the strength not only to return to the stage but also to take up powerlifting and jump with a parachute. You can learn his story from the video above or read in a more detailed article.
