In Ryazan Oblast, open days at the perinatal center and maternity hospital No. 2 remain suspended. This was stated by the regional Ministry of Health in response to a query from YA62.RU.

The restriction is attributed to safety measures due to high incidence of influenza and ARVI.

«This is a difficult but necessary decision, which we are making first and foremost for your safety and the safety of our babies. The incidence rate of flu and ARVI in the region remains high. During such a period, our maternity hospitals and perinatal center must become the most reliable fortress for mothers and newborns,» the Ministry of Health told us.

Open days will not be held until the epidemiological situation improves. How long this will last is unknown.

Mass events at the Ryazan Regional Perinatal Center and Maternity Hospital No. 2 were stopped after the tragedy in Novokuznetsk (Kemerovo Oblast), where several infants died from infection. Medical facilities also introduced a mass regime for everyone: both visitors and staff.

In addition, unscheduled inspections began at the maternity hospitals. Their results are not yet known.
