The Ryazan region has managed to reverse the negative trend of declining birth rates thanks to a comprehensive approach to the problem, Governor Pavel Malkov said at the forum «Motherland Is People. Healthy Family» at the National Center Russia.

In his social media posts, the governor said that the Ryazan region had become one of the leaders in the growth of the number of third and subsequent children in families. According to Malkov, the region has managed to turn around the negative birth-rate trend.

«We try to look at every decision through the eyes of a family. We have combined into a single ecosystem everything that affects quality of life: health care, education, social protection, culture, sport, improvement of public spaces and other areas», — Malkov said.

According to him, the region has built a single family support pathway — family services are being developed, young parents receive support, conditions are being created for active longevity, and public spaces are being improved so that they are convenient for families with children.
