People do not always see a doctor on time, even with symptoms that directly indicate the development of a malignant process. Changes in well-being are often attributed to fatigue, stress, and illnesses “like everyone else.” As a result, oncological diseases are often detected at late stages, directly affecting mortality rates. That is why it is so important to undergo regular check-ups and not delay seeing a doctor, even if symptoms seem minor.

— In the fight against oncological diseases, early and accurate diagnosis plays a key role, — notes Natalya Rostislavovna Obedinskaya, Head of the Diagnostics Department at MRI Technologies (MRT Tekhnologii), a radiologist. — Our center is equipped with the latest expert-class equipment, allowing us to obtain images of the highest resolution with the most specific capabilities for detecting cancer at early stages.

The main strength of the MRI Technologies department is its specialists, radiologists with many years of experience and deep knowledge in oncology, who can see beyond the “ordinary.” Each case is considered individually, with scans performed taking into account all the patient«s characteristics, allowing MRI results to be interpreted with maximum accuracy.

Diagnostic quality should be the most important criterion when choosing a clinic for cancer screening.

The technology makes it possible to detect even the smallest neoplasms that may be invisible with other types of instrumental diagnostics. This is especially important for detecting breast, prostate, brain, abdominal, and pelvic cancers.

For example, despite the fact that preventive check-ups and medical examinations cover a large number of women, the incidence of breast and ovarian cancer has not yet declined, reports the MRI Technologies department. Moreover, these diseases are increasingly being detected at late stages, including in women of reproductive age. For instance, ovarian cancer is diagnosed at stage I–II in about 30% of cases, and breast cancer in 60% of cases, whereas treatment is most effective at these early stages.

— In this regard, all suspicious changes in the breast and ovaries identified during clinical examination, ultrasound, or mammography, as well as in patients with a genetic predisposition to breast and ovarian cancer, in the pre- and postoperative periods, should be examined using magnetic resonance imaging, — explains Natalya Obedinskaya.

For 35 years, the specialists of the MRI Technologies department have been helping oncologists determine treatment tactics and monitor its effectiveness. Therefore, the results of examinations conducted at this Center enjoy special trust from both doctors and patients.
