The wife of a Novosibirsk man paralyzed in Thailand has accused the insurance company of inaction. According to Olga, the family will have to pay for her husband«s treatment out of pocket — about 1.5 million rubles (approximately $16,700 at current rates).

However, the NGS company said that the client received financial assistance and organizational support under the policy. After the health complaints, the insurer arranged for a doctor to visit him at home and then directed the patient to a hospital, where he was prescribed a course of immunoglobulin. All treatment and emergency care expenses were fully covered by the company.

The hospital stay was extended at the client«s request until transportation to his home city. The evacuation was organized immediately after the attending physician»s approval.

The client, on his own initiative, engaged third-party services to organize the evacuation. In such cases, expenses may be reimbursed under the policy if all requirements are met and documentation is provided.

The family will return to Novosibirsk on 4 February. Olga noted that they had to pay 1.5 million rubles (approximately $16,700) for all the flights.
