Health department attributes fake appointments to system glitch

Residents of Kurgan have begun finding medical services they did not receive on the doctor appointment portal and in their personal accounts on the «Gosuslugi» website. The Kurgan Regional Health Department commented on this situation in response to a request from 45.RU.

«We note that a system failure or human error cannot be ruled out, as there are cases where patients not only have the same full name and patronymic, but also the same year of birth. In any case, before payment for medical services is made, the data submitted by the medical organization is checked by the Territorial Fund of Compulsory Medical Insurance (TFOMI), and a verification is carried out with the data from the Medical Information and Analytical Center (MIAC),» the health department said, adding that they will check the facts published on social media.

No appeals from citizens on this issue have been received directly by the department. The agency explained that for a detailed analysis of situations, they ask to contact them with patient data via personal messages in their VKontakte group, in writing at the address: Kurgan, Karl Marx Street, 42, or through «Gosuslugi» or the electronic reception of the executive bodies of Kurgan Region.

If residents discover instances of medical services being provided that they did not actually receive, they should also report this to the insurance company that issued their compulsory health insurance (OMS) policy to correct the error. The contacts for such an organization are on the health insurance policy itself.

Last week, residents shared screenshots from their personal accounts in the doctor appointment application, commenting that they did not attend the appointments with specialists at all.

«I also received a notification about an appointment booking, even though I didn»t book one, I was so surprised,« writes Lana Ch.

«I also had an appointment with a therapist a year ago at the clinic on KZKT, but in fact, I was in Tyumen at that time. When you need to see a doctor, you have to wait almost a month for a ticket,» complains Irina G.

«It turns out my child had an appointment in Shadrinsk,» says Kurgan resident Anna N. with surprise.

«A similar situation with an endocrinologist, we»ve been waiting for an appointment since March 2025, and here I see, by chance, that we had one…«, says Yulia A.
