2025 has been a very difficult year for Margarita Simonyan. After the death of her husband, Tigran Keosayan, the journalist found out she had breast cancer. She underwent surgery and a long course of chemotherapy, complaining that the illness had worsened her skin condition and caused her hair to fall out. She went on air wearing wigs that closely resembled her real hair, but now she has decided to show what she really looks like.

«Do not fear anything. God exists, and death does not,» she captioned the photo.

Within just a few minutes of the post, Simonyan«s fans wrote hundreds of comments with support and wishes for her recovery.

«Margarita, you are beautiful. Any hairstyle suits you,» wrote a follower under the username Lana.

«Hair is not hands or feet — it will grow back even more beautiful,» Anastasia wrote in the comments.

Margarita often shares candidly with the followers of her channel. It was to them that she first told about her illness and all the difficulties in her family. A year ago in January, Margarita also shared the news that her husband Tigran Keosayan had experienced clinical death and fallen into a coma, and after that she reported on her husband«s condition. For nine months, the head of RT stayed by his side and, due to constant worry and thoughts of the worst, as she herself says, »grew cancer within myself.«

«Never do that! Don»t dwell on negative thoughts! In November I had a check-up and there was nothing. In December everything happened with Tigran, and I literally grew cancer in myself in a flash,« Margarita wrote in her blog.

After her husband«s death in September 2025, Simonyan is raising three underage children alone, helping her mother and mother-in-law, and continuing her husband»s undertaking — hosting the program «Ch.T.D.» (16+).
