Chief Doctor of Medical and Sanitary Unit Dies in Samara

The chief physician of Medical and Sanitary Unit No. 4 in Samara has died from a prolonged illness, according to colleagues and close relatives.

Sergei Shakhov, the chief physician of Medical and Sanitary Unit No. 4 (MMBU MSCh No. 4) in Samara, has passed away, as reported by colleagues and close ones.

Sergei Viktorovich dedicated his entire life to medicine. He began his career as an anesthesiologist-resuscitator at the Privolzhskaya Central District and Road Clinical Hospitals.

Later, he served as the chief physician of the Privolzhsky District, and for 15 years, he headed the Interdistrict Medical and Sanitary Unit No. 4 in Samara. He was also a Candidate of Medical Sciences and engaged in teaching activities.

Colleagues and friends remembered him as a bright personality, an intellectual, and a person who knew how to win people over.

“He had a rare gift — to inspire trust and sympathy. The memory of him will remain in our hearts,” the message states.

The farewell for Sergei Viktorovich Shakhov will take place on February 4 at 11:00 in ritual hall No. 3 at the address: Samara, Borskaya Street, building 108K.
