Zubovo no capital, Nagayevo no abroad: Ufa views

Various settlements are developing around Ufa: as recently as 20–30 years ago, nobody thought people would move from the city to these places, but now it is common. Nagayevo, Zubovo and others have become hubs. However, Ufa residents think otherwise: they believe that sooner or later some of these villages will be annexed to the city. UFA1.RU gathered readers« opinions.

Some are puzzled as to why various villages were annexed to the city and call the phenomenon the derogatory term «aulopolis» (village-city). And as UFA1.RU found out, quite a few villages have indeed been annexed: everyone remembers the tale about Shaksha and Ufa becoming a million-plus city — in reality, it was all different.

«This is done so as not to lose the million-plus city status. People are leaving. So they annex — there is no other reason,» a reader stated.

And a resident of one such village appears to have chimed in. He says he works on October Avenue — and he finds it awful there.

«I don»t understand how people live there. So much dust, road noise, you can«t open windows, noisy groups gather under windows in the evening, roaring motorcycles. The Khrushchyovkas along the road are old, basements are filthy, always some strange types searching for something in the grass. But in the city, everything is close by,» he wrote.

«Khrushchyovkas — yes, very strange structures. The entrances smell of basement, unkempt facades — grey or with old paint,» another noted.

They also recall plans to run commuter trains as far as Zubovo and Russky Yurmash. They say, build platforms and people will ride. Platforms can be built, but in addition to that, rails are needed, and they are apparently not cheap, given that even the road to the airport hasn«t been built yet.

«It»s clear everyone praises their auls, but they all flock to Ufa!« sharply declared another user.

Another calls Ufa itself an aul, saying the only urban thing about it is the registration.

Meanwhile, commenters recalled the settlement «Flowers of Bashkiria», which is «an 8-minute drive along the government highway». In May, UFA1.RU showed how this spot behind a popular shopping center lives.

«A chicken is not a bird, Zubovo is not a capital,» a user jokes.

«Nagayevo is not abroad,» another adds.

Commenters also found the cause of all traffic jams.

«People from villages go to work and study, hence the eternal traffic jams into Ufa,» said a Ufa resident.

And others are indignant, saying why does a village need asphalt — supposedly this disturbs the ecological balance.

At the same time, village residents list the advantages of not living in the city: neighbors don«t make noise, don»t drill, don«t play loud music. And the air, of course, is cleaner.

«And they laid new asphalt for us in Mikhaylovka, we»re loving it,« boasts a resident of a suburban village.

A resident of Zubovo, commenting on the situation in the settlement, says that 40 years ago it was «a small and cozy little village», and now — traffic jams from «Zubovo Life». Another user thinks that the best options are the same Zubovo or Chesnokovka, because they are the «Southern Gates of Ufa».

However, others say that if you want to feel «real countryside», you need to go not to Bulgakovo or Zubovo, but somewhere farther — about 50 km from Ufa.

«I myself have a plot of land towards the Pavlovskoye Reservoir. No hustle and bustle. There are roads, gas and electricity without interruption, water from a well — the purest, air — clean, nature — super, very few neighbors, and those who are there are quite adequate and good people. Fishing, berries, mushrooms, medicinal herbs and the like — all that is in abundance,» wrote a UFA1.RU reader.

He also adds that everyone chooses for themselves according to their means and desires. He says children from his little village are taken to schools by bus, there are shops, no problems arise. And if something is lacking — the city is nearby.

And the downsides, as they say, are there? Of course. Here, a resident of Iglino reports: there are no industries, only shops, the administration has no money.

«Therefore, electricity is cut off, there are few asphalt roads, as well as sidewalks, bike lanes, street lighting. Even at the railway and bus station there are no normal asphalt roads and squares. Problems only get bigger and bigger,» summed up the villager.
