In Yekaterinburg, a farewell was held today for the founder of the Proryv search team, Natalia Volkova. Dozens of people gathered in the hall at the Nizhne-Isetskoye Cemetery — volunteers, activists, relatives and friends.

A photo of Natalia Volkova posted by the Proryv team on social media.
Natalia died of an illness on July 16, the day after her birthday. She was only 42 years old. For a long time, Natalia served in the police, and after finishing her service, she and her husband Nikolai founded Proryv. For over a decade, they helped find missing people and saved hundreds of lives.

Friends and relatives gather for the farewell ceremony at the cemetery.
A volunteer from Proryv said that even in the hospital Natalia showed her strong character. Everyone will remember her as a resilient and strong-willed person.

Volunteers hold flowers and listen during the memorial service.
Since 2017, she led more than two thousand search operations and found over a thousand missing people. Her last search began on July 6. She worked until July 12, and on the 13th she was hospitalized.

The ceremony took place at the Nizhne-Isetskoye Cemetery in Yekaterinburg.
Members of the volunteer team promise to continue Natalia«s work. As soon as Proryv recovers from this loss, searches for missing people will resume.
