The department provided advice on how to behave in extreme heat:

Wear light, breathable clothing made of cotton;

  • Stay in the shade more often;

  • Avoid physical exertion;

  • Drink more water and avoid alcohol.

    Separate recommendations were given for drivers. Rescuers reminded that it is better to park the car in the shade and not to leave children and animals in a closed car.

    «Before traveling, be sure to check the technical condition of the vehicle. In hot weather, special attention should be paid to the engine cooling system, oil level, brake pad condition, and tire pressure. Be sure to take enough cool water and necessary medications,» the department added.

    Earlier, specialists from the Fobos Center warned of hot weather for the week from 20 to 26 July. According to their forecast, after the abnormal warming, thunderstorms and downpours will return to Central Russia.
