Week in Review: Fire and Rescue July 13-19
During the week of July 13 to July 19, 2026, Kirov Oblast recorded 22 man-made fires, one fatality, and six rescues. Additionally, 21 responses to traffic accidents were reported.

Between July 13 and July 19, fire and rescue services in Kirov Oblast extinguished 22 man-made fires. One person died, no injuries, and six people were evacuated and rescued.
On July 13, in the village of Salobelyak, Yaran District, a fire broke out in a private residential house with outbuildings. The homeowner died in the fire. Preliminary information indicates the cause was careless handling of fire.
On July 17, in the urban-type settlement of Lebyazhye on Petra Kazantseva Street, a private house and utility buildings burned. The fire destroyed the roof and damaged walls. The suspected cause is a short circuit in the electrical wiring.
On July 19, several fires were recorded. In the village of Chus, Verkhnekamsk District, a car caught fire in a parking lot, and the flames spread to a neighboring vehicle. Both vehicles were completely burned. Cause: vehicle malfunction. In the village of Novotroitskoye, Shabalinsky District, a private bathhouse was completely destroyed by fire due to a stove malfunction. On the same day, in the garden community «Energetik» in the village of Zotovy, Slobodskoy District, a garden house burned down for a similar reason: faulty stove equipment.
In total over the reported week, units were dispatched 21 times to respond to road traffic accidents.
