Volgograd to have 14-hour water cutoff, heating unaffected

Residents of the Krasnooktyabrsky district will have to spend 14 hours without cold and hot water supply. The reason is planned work on the main water pipeline, which will be reinforced after recent accidents.

On the night of January 21 to 22, «Water Supply Concessions» will carry out a planned set of measures aimed at increasing the reliability of the pipeline on 39th Guards Division Street. Last week, weak sections were localized on this mainline, requiring urgent intervention by emergency services. To prevent repeated violations, specialists will carry out work to reinforce the pipeline structure. For this, the installation of a reinforced bandage will be performed — this is an engineering unit that allows increasing the mechanical strength of the pipeline and relieving it of increased load.

The work will take place from 20:00 on January 21 to 10:00 on January 22. During this period, water will be absent in residential buildings, but heating is not planned to be turned off. Below is a list of addresses falling within the shutdown zone.
