Volgograd Schoolboy's Letter Moves Soldier to Tears in Ukraine Conflict Video
In the video, a soldier struggles to contain his emotions while reading a heartfelt letter from a schoolboy.
A letter from a schoolboy in Volgograd brought a participant of the special military operation in Ukraine to tears. The man recorded a touching video in which he read out the boy«s message and thanked him for the kind words. The soldier hopes the video will reach the letter»s author. But unfortunately, there is practically no information about him. Volunteers are now searching for him.
The emotional footage was posted on a Telegram channel associated with the Volgograd region.
The video, in which the soldier with the call sign KUM reads out the schoolboy«s message, appeared in the group »Volgograd Krasnoarmeysky«. In it, the man holds the letter in his hands and barely holds back tears.
«Taking advantage of a pause while no one is at home. The letter arrived, I read it, read it aloud to my comrades-in-arms. I consider it necessary to record this video and ensure that it reaches the sender, specifically the author of this letter,» the man says.
I write to you across time and silence, not knowing your name, face, or story. Perhaps you remained a young boy in yellowed photographs. Maybe you managed to become a father, husband, brother. Thank you for this step into the unknown. For becoming a shield in a terrible hour for those who have never seen you. For your shadow now being a wing over our heads. We often forget at what cost our ordinary days are granted: morning coffee, children«s laughter, the right to dream. You remind us that freedom is not air. It smells of gunpowder and tears. To me, you are a true hero. After all, you are now fighting the enemy so that we can live peacefully and do what we like. Please, return home soon with victory. You are awaited by family, friends, and all our people.
At the end of the letter, the teenager indicated his authorship: Kirill E., 16 years old, Volgograd. The man hopes that the boy will see this video.
«Kirill, this is very powerful, very cool. It is precisely because of people like you that we are here carrying out the tasks set before us. Thank you for this letter. I really hope that you are found, and perhaps, watch this video. Come on, well done! Very cool,» the man said.
As reported by V1.RU volunteers who provide humanitarian aid to soldiers of the special military operation, they sent the cargo along with the letter to the front line about three weeks ago. Recently, they received a video from the soldier, but now he is not in contact.
«Our volunteers delivered humanitarian aid to the front line to the guys. In one of the boxes was this letter, but we don«t know who it»s from. We work with many public organizations. We started searching for the boy specifically through institutions, but so far no results,» says the head of the volunteer organization. «Where we managed to search, there is no Kirill with a surname starting with E. We started searching in the Krasnoarmeysky district. But most likely, the letter came from the city center, possibly from a student of the medical college. They also passed on letters. We ourselves cannot handle this, but we want a New Year«s miracle to happen.»
Recall that last year, a participant of the special military operation in Ukraine, Artur Kudayev, searched for a girl from the Volgograd region who gave him a touching letter and a knitted Cheburashka (a Soviet cartoon character), making grown men cry with emotion. To meet the schoolgirl, the soldier came to the hero-city and visited schools, but no one could help him.
